Hypnosis for Health: An Introduction
When people come to see me, I am often asked "What is hypnosis good for?" My immediate response is "What isn't it good for?" Hypnosis has a myriad of applications from lowering blood pressure to anaesthesia to weight loss and smoking cessation.
This hypnosis workshop was developed to answer often-asked questions and to clear up common misconceptions about the practice. I have found that many people are interested in hypnosis but most have no clear idea how it can benefit them personally. The fact is, hypnosis can benefit everyone. Did you know that hypnosis can help with the pain associated with PMS and IBS? Or that it can aid in digestion? Or that professional actors, opera singers and sports teams regularly utilize hypnosis to improve their performance?
In this hour and a half I take you on a guided meditation through hypnosis, answer any questions you may have as well as give a brief overview of hypnosis.
Weight Management with Hypnosis
Are you tired of the diet yo-yo? Learn how the magnificent power of hypnosis can empower your mind to change old habits and create new, helpful ones that will continue you on a lifelong journey of good health and weight mangement. Most diet books end up causing us stress with all the weighing and measuring and sorting, and we have enough of that already, don't we? Learn how hypnosis will not only relax your mind and body but empower you to make better, more healthful decisions in your life, now and for years to come.
Smoking Cessation with Hypnosis
Still on those cigarettes after trying time and again to quit? Or maybe it's just such a part of you that it's almost impossible to think of giving it up? Come to this seminar and learn how hypnosis can help you change the way you think about your dependence on tobacco. Few of us "need" much of anything. Food. Water. And we can get by with a lot less of those things than we think we can. This seminar will instruct you on how much of cigarette dependency is psychological and exactly how hypnosis can help break that dependency
Stress Management with Hypnosis
You know that stress doesn't feel good but did you know that prolonged stress can weaken your immune system, strain your heart and damage memory cells in the brain? Hypnosis has been called a "massage for the mind." Come to this informative workshop and find out why. A brief group hypnosis session will be included as part of this workshop. Learn how much better you can feel through the power of your mind. You don't have to live with stress! Feel better. Live better. Learn how to use your mind to reduce your stress and prolong your life.
Marketing Workshop for the Therapist and Healer: The A,B,C's of Marketing a Professional Practice
It's no secret to people in this field, no matter what our specialty, that most of us are not "business-oriented." In fact, as many people have told me, that is why they went into this field in the first place. We enjoy working with people and the connection between mind, body and spirit is far more important to us than the nuts and bolts of running a business, especially for those of us who came from another field.
The problem with this is that many of us tend to dismiss that aspect of the work to such a degree that it hurts our practice and thereby hurts ourselves.
Like many others, I came to the practice of hypnosis after many years of working in other fields. To my great surprise, I found that when I did launch my hypnotherapy practice, that I brought with me many "lessons" from these past experiences that I didn't even know I had learned! In short, within a span of six months after setting up my practice, I had already become firmly established and had a continuous weekly influx of new clients and even more inquiries regarding my practice.
In this 2-hour workshop, just a few of the items I will cover include:
The "little" things that are often overlooked but which can vastly improve your practice.
The importance of a web presence, including the secrets of search engines, portals and design.
Traditional print advertising and how to get the most out of your dollar.
Getting the word out on your own: cheap but impressive ways to make an impact without spending a lot of money, including which things not to do.
The small budget: What is important to spend money on and how you can hurt yourself when you don't.
Cost: $150
These workshops are given on a rotating schedule throughout the year. To reserve a seat or to find out the date and time of the next workshop, please email me via the Contact page.
About Eric Zeisler
Prior to becoming a hypnotist, I had a spent a good many years in the so-called "corporate world." Some of that time was as a computer professional, very often working in law firms. Throughout my years as a freelancer I have worked in fields as diverse as non-profit arts groups, major hospitals, mid-size corporations, and some of the top law firms in the world.
One of the many lessons learned during this time was the fascinating manner in which individuals in different social and income strata interact with others. Lawyers would interact differently with their secretaries than they would with other lawyers. Doctors behave differently with those they believe to have a higher education than they would with those of a lesser academic standing. What I eventually learned was that these differentiations had much less to do with the education, profession or income level of another person than it did with the perception of such: how another dressed, spoke, or acted.
During this time I learned how to play the game of impressions, and despite my not being an attorney, I did gain the respect and at times even intimidated attorneys, not because of my financial standing or because I had more power or influence than they did but because of how I presented myself. After having entered the field of hypnosis I now know that there is a term for this these lessons --- Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP. Having now studied the science behind what I felt innately, I am better able to share with you the small things that make a difference in winning that big game or making that sale.
